Parade of Homes Charities

Parade of Homes is proud to announce two exciting partnerships to benefit local charities –
Roc Solid Foundation and Habitat for Humanity.

Roc Solid Foundation builds hope for families facing pediatric cancer. The organization is best known for its Play It Forward initiative, which surprises kids fighting cancer with custom playsets (ages 1 – 8) or completely remodeled bedrooms (ages 8 – 18). Since Roc Solid was founded in 2009 by pediatric cancer survivor Eric Newman, it has completed nearly 250 Play It Forward projects, many of which have benefited families in Hampton Roads. E. R. Lenz Contracting is building a charity home to benefit Habitat for Humanity of South Hampton Roads. Habitat for Humanity engages the community in building opportunities for qualified families to achieve independence and stability through purchasing an affordable home. Humanity for Humanity of South Hampton Roads serve all seven geographical entities that comprise South Hampton Roads: Chesapeake, Isle of Wight, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Smithfield, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach.
