The historic Smithfield Inn Restaurant and Tavern was built in 1752 and has been a staple of Smithfield dining ever since it was converted to an Inn and Tavern in 1759 serving customers going from Richmond and Norfolk. The recently renovated Inn is the premier fine dining location in Smithfield.  If you are looking for something a little more casual, try The William Rand Tavern for lunch or cocktails and dinner after work.

Wharf Hill Brewing Company is a full-service restaurant, bar, and craft brewery located on Main Street. Their full service bar offers 8 local beers on tap, including 4 of their house brews, developed by Brewmaster Greg. Three 1906 historic buildings were combined to create this unique place using reclaimed materials from all over Hampton Roads including church pews from 1915.

Smithfield Gourmet Bakery & Café is a quaint café with mismatched furniture offering breakfast, lunch and dinner as well homemade bread baked and pastries fresh daily. The outdoor patio is perfect place to people watch or enjoy a cup of gourmet coffee from the Beanery or a glass of Virginia wine. If you are there for lunch, try the Smithfield Packer with smoked pork, Bacon, pork sausage, melted cheddar, fried green tomato, sweet potato mustard and slaw, it’s incredible.

Taste of Smithfield is located on historic Main Street in Smithfield and features Southern Bistro style fare for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They feature signature pork and ham specialties plus gourmet half pound burgers and fresh salads with greens from local growers. Check them out for some yummy eats, craft beer, or a glass of wine.
